How do referral discounts work?

So Handy's been working for you and now you want to want to tell the world. Great news! Our referral program has been created so you can get your friends and family in on the action.

Referrals work like this, when your friends book with your personalized referral coupon code, you both get a discount.

To share your code:

On the app: 

On web: 

  1. Go to Share tab
  2. Select Share at the bottom of the page
  3. Select the channel you'd like to send your referral through (Message, Facebook, Email etc.)
  4. Soon after your friend completes their first booking, you’ll receive a Referral Discount which can be applied to the next booking scheduled on your account
  1. Go to Free Bookings tab
  2. Select the channel you'd like to send your referral through (Message, Facebook, Email etc.)
  3. Or you can copy your referral link and share that with friends
  4. Soon after your friend completes their first bookings, you’ll receive a Referral Discount

Note: It may take up to 10 days following completion of a booking to receive a Handy Referral Discount. Referral Discounts are only valid for 6 months from the date of issuance and automatically expire if not used to purchase a service by that date. These discounts only apply to future services that are booked and paid for on the Handy platform.

You can also recommend individual professionals to a friend!

If you've had a cleaner who really went above and beyond you can recommend them to a friend and get $40 in Handy Referral Discounts.

  1. Go to Share tab
  2. Select the person from your Pro Team you want to recommend
  3. Select the channel you'd like to send your referral through (Message, Facebook, Email etc.)
  4. Soon after your friend completes their first booking, you’ll receive a Referral Discount

Note: This feature is only available in the Handy app. It may take up to 10 days following completion of a booking for you to received Handy Referral Discounts. Referral Discounts are only valid for 6 months from the date of issuance and automatically expire if not used to purchase a service by that date. These discounts only apply to future services that are booked and paid for on the Handy platform.
